Conscious Performance GmbH was founded and is headquartered in Königstein im Taunus, Germany. That provenance is not a matter of address: it is a way of working. From the German tradition we take structure, sequence, and the discipline of documenting and measuring.
From our second base in Riga, Latvia, we take a vocation for applied research and a different cultural outlook, formed in a society that values cooperation and quality of life as much as performance.
And from the Latin American trajectory of our founding partner we take the capacity to work in complexity, to read context, and to build trust where not all the rules are written down.
This combination explains why we work well where many firms fail: in organizations that operate across cultures, headquartered on one continent and operating on another, which need structure and cultural sensitivity to work together rather than get in each other’s way.

The founding partner
Miguel Ángel Gurrola Rodríguez
Strategist of human and cultural transformation. Before founding the firm he spent more than twenty years as a senior Human Resources executive at Coca-Cola de México, Unilever, SCA and Boehringer Ingelheim, with professional exposure to more than eighty countries. That trajectory explains one of the defining characteristics of the firm’s work: we know organizations from the inside, not only from the consulting room.
He holds a degree in Industrial Relations from Universidad Iberoamericana and a master’s degree in Organization Development from INESPO.
He is co-author of published research on psychosocial risk factors at work. Over more than ten years he has held strategic dialogues on culture, talent, leadership and integral well-being with more than six hundred people in leadership positions. He is the author of the Effectiveness with Human Meaning framework that grounds the firm’s practice, and founding partner of the Applied Research Institute TCPS SIA in Riga.

Conscious Performance GmbH is not designed as one person’s professional practice. It is designed as an institution.
That implies concrete decisions, not declarations. Our working framework is being codified as a transmissible body of knowledge, with levels, criteria and materials, so that it can be taught and certified. Our research has its own institutional custody in the Applied Research Institute TCPS SIA. Our methods are documented so that they do not depend on the memory of whoever created them. And we train every member of the team with the explicit expectation that they will lead engagements themselves, not assist someone else.
Those of us who work here share one conviction: what we are building must go on bearing fruit when none of us is here. That is the most demanding test we know for whether an organization created real value or merely administered it for a while.
