ORGANIZATIONAL LEVEL

At an organizational level, it is important to mention that organizational culture can be an enabler or an inhibitor to realize your business strategy. Dr. Geert Hofstede in his book Culture and Organization defines organizational culture as the collective programming of the mind that distinguishes the members of one organization from another. Another far-reaching aspect is to understand what makes an organization different from its competitors, suppliers, service providers, etcetera.

During the last three years, we have been able to get data from more than 5,000 respondents from different types of organizations in more than 20 countries. Based on data, we have been observed positive culture transformations with an even more significant positive impact on business performance.  Measuring an organizational culture is the foundation to make clever decisions to move towards a properly defined optimal culture to realize your business strategy. Though, it is not all about measurements; having an accurate and precise culture scan of your organization is a good foundation, but it does not warrant a successful change.  The quality of improvement actions towards your optimal culture and discipline to follow-up and make them a reality makes the difference.
